What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted.

Who we are
FETTI KNOX is operated by Jazz Lee Jones. This policy covers fettiknox.com and the emails we send. Questions go to our contact page.
What we collect
Only what the store needs to work. Specifically:
- When you buy a beat — the legal name you type into the licence agreement, your email address, and the order itself (which beat, which licence, the amount, and the date).
- When you join the mailing list — your email address, the date you consented, and the exact wording you agreed to.
- When you use the contact form — your name, email, and whatever you write to us.
- When you play a beat — a count of plays per beat. This is a number, not a record of who played it.
- When you visit a page — the page address, an approximate location (city, region, country), and the site that referred you, if any.
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we never see or store your card details.
Why we hold your legal name
A beat licence is a contract. Your legal name and the date you accepted the terms are recorded so both sides can prove what was agreed — that record is what allows you to demonstrate you licensed the beat legitimately if a distributor or platform ever asks. It is kept for that reason and no other.
Visitor statistics
We count page views so we know which parts of the world our music reaches. Your IP address is used once, at the moment of the visit, to look up an approximate location — and is then discarded. We do not store IP addresses, and we do not assign you a visitor ID or cookie, so these counts cannot be tied back to you or joined together into a browsing history.
What is kept is a row saying, in effect, “someone near this city viewed this page at this time”. That is enough to draw a map of where the audience is, and not enough to identify anybody. Location lookups are performed by ip-api.com, which receives the address for that single query.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of services, each for one job:
- Stripe — takes payment. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe holds them under its own privacy policy.
- Resend — sends your purchase email, licence agreement, and marketing email if you opted in.
- Cloudflare R2 — stores the audio files. Download links are time-limited and generated per request.
- Railway — hosts the site and its database.
- ip-api.com — turns an IP address into an approximate city for the visitor map, once per visit. Nothing is stored there by us.
Beyond those, we share your information only where the law requires it. Nobody buys this data from us, because it is not for sale.
Marketing email
We only email marketing to people who asked for it. Every one of those emails carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and your mail app's own Unsubscribe button works too. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Buying a beat does not add you to the mailing list. Purchase emails and marketing emails are separate, and consenting to one is not consent to the other.
How long we keep it
Order records and licence acceptances are kept indefinitely, because they are the proof that you hold a valid licence — deleting them would undermine your own rights to the beat. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe; we retain the record of the unsubscribe itself so you are not accidentally re-added later.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time, ask what we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion. Email us and we will action it.
One honest limit on deletion: we cannot delete the licence record attached to a completed purchase without also destroying the evidence that you own that licence. If you want your data removed, tell us and we will explain exactly what can go and what has to stay.
Security and changes
Payment data never touches our systems. Audio files sit behind links that expire, and purchased files are reachable only through a unique token sent to the buyer. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
